My WP Quiet Partner II will enter the cycle correctly, but when the drain motor comes on, it does not shut off. It pumps water out fine, but runs dry until I cancel the cycle. This happens on either a wash cycle or a rinse only cycle, but either way it sounds like it happens at the first engaging of the drain pump.

Would very much appreciate any help diagnosing!

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Sounds like the control board is shot.

thanks for the tech sheet ....

I agree the control board is a potential problem, but my first thought since it is not turning off the drain pump, and that is the only issue, that perhaps there is a bad sensor. Is there a sensor/switch that tells the drain pump that the water is out and stop pumping, or does it have a preset amount of drain time? I can't tell from the tech sheet how it functions.

thanks!

Also, how does one get diagnostic info from the diagnostic test cycle? Does it report back which test failed?

Thanks!

Update: i entered diagnostic mode and it seemed to hang up there....only got through 5 min of what the looks like should be a 16 min diagnostic cycle. I was ready to declare the control dead.

However I then performed the test described in the "checking keypad operation" section, where you disconnect the keypad ribbon, reconnect power and close the door. The drain motor ran for 2 min and shut off, and this guide says that means the control is ok. Now I am not sure where the issue really is.

Any advice? Thanks!

Sorry but I cannot think of anything else other than the control board.
