I have just received the replacement kit for my dryers thermal cut-off. Well it seems that the original switch has four terminals -one on either side and one coming out the top part. The replacement has just the two side ones. so my question is since the parts dept. told me this is definitely the replacement what do I do with the two wires that are supposed toi be connected to the top terminals. Thanks for any help.

Hi.

What is it you are replacing? The thermal cut off is located on the heater housing. You are describing the cycling thermostat which is on the top of the blower housing, next to the thermal fuse Part number: 8318268
Part number: 8318268

What is the original problem?

Simon.
