We had a winter storm where first we had a "brownout" where we had lower power coming into the house for around 6 hours, then the power went off and on for various amounts of time for the rest of the day. When all of this was over and we had power back 100%, the circuit breaker was tripped for the dishwasher. I flipped the circuit, but when I tried to run the dishwasher (it was not running when power issues began, but was latched) it would not start. No response whatsoever.

Things I have checked:
Circuit is good (switched it out with another circuit and worked fine)
Outlet is good
Checked power with multimeter and had power in the line within the dishwasher through the latch up to the control board.

Not sure if the control board is bad? I dont see any signs of burnout etc. Dont want to waste money on the part and find out this is not the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi.

Remove the kick panel and open the junction box.Use the multimeter to check if there is 120VAC going into the dishwasher.
If it is - most likely you need to replace the control panel

Part number: 154474701
Part number: 154474701

There is still a good chance that the control board is bad

Part number: 154663001
Part number: 154663001

Get both of them and try the control panel first.

Remember that you can return any parts you don't need, even installed ones.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Control Panel parts for Frigidaire FDBB2040FC1 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.
