son-in-law attempted to remove top panel that holds start switch, timer, and other controls without unplugging unit from the wall. In doing so, he says the start switch touched the back of the cabinet, made a spark, and now the electric dryer will not start at all. What parts should be checked and how?

Found the problem: No continuity on the safety thermostat(thermal fuse) part number WE4M137.
