I just noticed my dryer is not heating all of the time. I watch the element glow and the flame burns and everything is fine, then I see the element glow and no flame / no heat. I checked both sides of the vent to see if everything is clear and it was. The dryer is really old. I don't want to mess around spending too much money. Any ideas?

Most likely the problem is a bad gas valve coils. This parts are inexpensive and repair is not too difficult.

Do you have any type of instructions on how to replace?
