Bought used microwave hood and the glass tray rubs on bottom of microwave as it turns. It contained a round ring turn and a 12 3/4 inch glass tray. We have ordered the ring turn from here and it is triangular in shape. Now the tray doesn't even touch the ring. Do we need a different glass tray? How do we know what came with it originally?

I'm assuming that the piece you bought was number 5 in the pic
below. The first thing I would want to look at is the drive coupler
itself (#7). If this microwave was being ran without the support ring
there's a chance that the coupler is broken causing it to drop down on the
shaft too far. You might need to remove it to check it. I would also
want to check the drive motor itself (#8). Check and make sure the mounting
ears on the motor are not bent, causing the motor to drop.
