We have our new whirlpool and love it almost. When it is on until it cools off I have nicknamed it windypool. There is a windy whistling noise from the fans. Convection or not. I am wondering if I left on some packing material or if this is typical for this model.

Hello,

It might be because of improper installation or due to a mechanical problems. I would recommend to call Whirlpool for the warranty service.

Gene.
