In November I posted a question about the Ice auger freezing up. Rickgburton was very helpful answer my question and telling me about a GE Service Flash to correct the problem. Now I am getting a build up of ice (frost?) just under the area of the ice bin between where the crushed ice or cubes drops form the ice bin into the ice chute in he door. Can anyone explain what is causing this and how I can fix it from happening?

Pull up a chair and pull out the fountain bottom tray, remove any screws, and with a putty knife, remove the trim. Inside you may have a busted flaper door hing retainer, a bad spring, or the door just out of place. If the internal housing door retainer tab is buisted, you will need to drill a small hole, then use a screw to retain the door.
To help with repair, you can tilt up the pc board and duck tape it to the door housing. When putting it back together, you might need to extend the 5/16 tubing to allow the tubing to be pushed in the fountain hole.
