Our fridge seems to have a hard time holding a steady temp in both compartments. Stays cold but we need it to be reliable to store medical products. Any suggestions/solutions ?

Your refrigerator temperature fluctuates down during defrost periods.
Only solution would be a non-defrost model. You should check with an appliance store about temperature control specifications, they can call the factory for specs.
