Hi all, newbie here. Tried the search, but couldn't find a situation exactly like mine.

Machine goes through wash cycle, then stops while still full of water. Does not drain or spin. When this happens, jiggling the main control knob usually causes the machine to proceed normally. Sometimes the knob will have to be pushed in, spun around back to the spin cycle and pulled back out to make it advance normally. Bad timer maybe?

Thanks!

Since you can make it work by jiggling the timer knob that suggests the timer is the issue.

Try replacing it, but even before doing that take off the connections, clean them with a good electrical contact cleaner and reseat them. It's a long shot, but a cost free one.
