The dryer is pretty old and used frequently. From what I have read this could be a heating element problem or a thermostat (if it has one) or a high limit switch (if it has one). I don't know where the thermostat or high limit switch would be and if you go through the front, top or back of the dryer to reach these items.

The first thing that needs to be done is check the source voltage where it connects to the back of the dryer.
