Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		Your model number is incomplete, but this is a basic Whirlpool top loader, (you can tell because the model number starts with '110') then it sounds like the coupler. It is a reasonable DIY fix, and if you look up the part here you will find a nice video that will show you how to fix it. It helps, a lot, to have a helper.

Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 12/9/2013(UTC) Posts: 2		My Kenmore washer is model 110.24732300 purchased 8/23/2004. When you set it on any cycle and pull the knob outward the tub will fill. But after that nothing happens: no washing, spinning nor emptying of tub. Thanks ges99?

You can test it by bypassing the lid switch, and if you need to replace the switch it is an easy fix. See the video on replacing Whirlpool Direct Drive lid switch in the video library here, or go to the lid switch part listing and you should see a link to the video.
