See the attachment for a tech sheet.
It is for a FES2 and a FES12 no other FES units come up.

I cannot find a kit for the defrost thermostat or heater.

Only kit I see is for the evaporator coils.
File Attachment(s):
AFB2534F.pdf (207kb) downloaded 23 time(s).

The tech sheet just posted by denman is the same as the one I have been using, which discusses the programming mode and (electronic) diagnostic procedures.

I don't have a drawing that gives access instructions to the thermostat, but after lifting the freezer drawer out, I removed the 4 screws holding the rear sheet metal cover on in the freezer compartment. The thermister (I think) cover on the right side has a slot into which you insert a flat blade screwdriver and pry (gently) to the right, and it releases to allow the thermistor to slide up over the top of the sheet metal cover to allow it to be removed. ( I don't have an ice-maker, and I didn't remove the connector for it (left side of the rear cover), just rotated the sheet metal cover to get it out of the way of the thermostat.

The rear sheet metal cover was flexible enough to bend enough to rotate it out of the way, and I did that rather than remove one of the supports for the bottom drawer.

In my case, this thermostat area was all frozen up, so I sprayed hot water on it and then put a small heater in the freezer compartment to defrost.

The thermostat is clipped onto one of evaporator coils (Upper right side) and is connected by one orange and one brown wire.

Thank You denman. This is the same tech sheet that I have been using, so it must be the closest available.

My unit has a diognostic test #9 not listed in this sheet which toggles between A and (something else I don't recall, maybe F). Any idea what it is?

Sorry but I do not know.

Perhaps start a new thread with this question.
