Hi guys, bear with me here, I am no appliance man myself but really need some help!the dishwasher in our home, which has to be atleast 15 years old (whirlpool du9000xr-1) but has always worked perfect with no issues at all! Today to my surprise it has no power at all. It doesn't do anything! I went downstairs to check my breaker box and noticed that the breaker had been tripped! I thought my issue was solved by simply resetting it but I was wrong, still no power! This machine is also hooked up to an on/off light switch and all wires are securely connected. Do you guys have any ideas? Do you think that the dishwasher finally just fried? Or is there maybe just something simple like an internal fuse that needs replacing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks much everyone!

The given model number does not come up. Are you sure it is not a DU9000XR1? I tried at AppliancePartsPros and the Whirlpool site.
First thing to check is whether power is getting to the unit. You will need a meter to do this. Sometimes there are problems in the wirenuts that often connect the unit to the house wiring.
Also did you go back downstairs to check if the breaker had tripped again. |

My mistake! It is the 9000XR1. I forgot a zero! And yes, I have checked and it has not tripped the breaker again.
