I have a whirlpool electric dry model LER5638JO0 that is about 11 years old. It stopped heating the other night. I found the part number for a replacement heater. I though maybe lifting the top over would expose the old heater unit, but all I could see was the top of the drum. I could not lift it all the way, so if the heater unit is on the side, I couldn't see it. Does anyone know where the heater unit is located?
Thanks in advance.

Here is what comes up when I search forLER5638.
Parts for LER5638 - AppliancePartsPros.com

It does not show a JO0
Click on the AN1 on left side list. This will open a parts breakdown, with luck it will be close to your unit.

Take a look in the Bulkhead Parts section (Item 17). It is inside Item 14.
