I've had this dishwasher working with no problem for the past 6 years. Recently, the thermal fuse blew up while running a cycle. I have replaced the the fuse, and the dishwasher worked fine until the same moment in new cycle and then blew up again. It happened when the hot water was still in the machine. The wash cycle did not complete, neither the water was completely pumped out. I am not sure what the issue may be. The drain pump seems to work fine and the heater seems to be OK too. What else can cause the thermal fuse to blow?

You might have a short in the heater wiring, amprobe would confirm. You also may have low water temperature that forces the heater to turn on during the wash period.
