We're baffled. DW starts when we push on door and stops when we let go.

We have adjusted the latch in several different positions, thinking that the door was not closing all the way. That didn't help. DW and door are level. Newer seal around door (2yrs ago after recall work completed). Have not checked sensors-we don't own a tester, yet! But, if we push on the door on the opposite side of the two sensors, we hear the sensors buttons click and can operate the DW. As soon as we let go of the door, everything stops. We are sure this is an easy fix but not sure exactly what to fix. We have never had any problems with our Maytag and have had no prior symptons leading up to the matter. Please help us solve the mystery! Thanks, Scott and June

Hi,
Take a look at the door switch and make sure it's mounted correctly.

The DW worked earlier in the day, just fine until I unloaded and reloaded it. Tried to run a light cycle and could not get it to start, unless I lightly pushed on the door at the top.
