ON the water and Ice dispenser we get water but we cant get ice or crushed ice in cup what could be causing this

pulled ice bin out the part that make auger work makes the auger turn the yoke is turning very slowly then when the bin is placed back into freezer it stops completly and you can hear something running but auger does not turn

See if you're getting 120 VAC to the auger motor when the lever is pressed. If so replace the auger motor. If not check the microswitch in the dispenser for continuity.

Hi Jack, he said he wasn't getting cubed or crushed out of the dispenser. The solenoid position wouldn't make any difference. It sounds like maybe an auger issue. What do you think?
