we've purchased this LG WM2140C washer a year and half ago and have no problems at all with this unit. Until we have to relocate... when I was setting up the washer on our new place, I connected the hot, cold and drain hoses ok, I opened the faucets to have it ready for my wife to use it the next day. For my surprise, I found that after 10~15 mins later a water leak was coming from the bottom of the unit.
I've check the hoses connections and the leakes are not coming from either of the hoses, nor from the front filter or manual drain hose... since this unit it is kind of really heavy, it is not something that I can easily pickup and look under to check around what area the leak is coming from.
any suggestions?

Hi. There is a chance that it's a leaking water inlet valve (it's 2 there). Remove screws from the back of the top cover, slide it back an inch and lift off. Now you can diagnose the problem. Inlet valve Part number: 5221ER1003A

Thank you for your quick response.... after removing the top cover and finding the valves or hoses dry, it lead me to remove the back cover and still seeing not a single drop coming from any hose or valve...
as it turned out, the leaking that i was seeing coming from the bottom of the unit is in fact coming from a crack where the floor meet the wall, apparently, the townhouse next to us is having a leak and we are so fortunate to be receiving the leaking....
I'll be calling our landlord today....
Thank you again and I appology for the false alarm.

Hi.
No problem at all. It's a common call.
Simon.
