How do I open the cook top area to replace a broken Oven control-temperature assembly which is located on front of unit next to gas burner valves? I have removed the 3 screws on each cook top burner but don't want to force open the cook top as I have heard that may damage the unit.

Hi Jim,

In order to replace the oven clock you don't have to remove the top panel. You can easy access it from the back of the control panel by removing the back cover.
