Recently dishwasher started making noise. Found it was the bottom plate on the Discharge Pump Housing fell down and was hitting the impeller. Found a great Youtube video on how to repair the problem for my model. Bought a new impeller, discharge pump housing and filter screen. Cleaned up all the mineral deposits and then followed the video step by step to reassemble the parts. Threw a quart of water into the washer and turned the power back on. The washer did the initial drain as usual and then filled the washer with water as usual. Then that was it. It should go into the rinse cycle next. When I turn the knob around nothing happens at all now. Once it started to drain but stopped after a few seconds. I think the pump must be ok since it initially drained and filled. I cannot think of anything I did wrong reassembling it. Any ideas? Could it be the timer switch now?

OK took everything apart again. Found the impeller was hitting the bottom plate of the Pump Discharge Housing. New impeller was very hard to push down on the stem. Apparently I didn't get it all the way down or it went on crooked. Ordered an even newer impeller. Any suggestions on how to make sure the impeller is on all the way? Did find a rough spot on one side of the motor shaft. Also I do install the o-ring on the shaft and the o-ring on the screw that goes into the impeller.

What is the part number of the impeller you installed?

I would recommend to order and install the whole impeller seal kit and the discharge housing (if it has any, even very small damage). - The impeller seal kit Part number: 6-915435
- The discharge housing Part number: 6-917075
Gene. P.S. remove the toe panel and check for any water marks on the motor.

Filed the two sides of the motor stem so the impeller slipped off and on easy. Also discovered the old o-ring under the impeller was still on. I had put a new o-ring over it...oops. This time impeller went all the way down, tightened the sucker, put everything back together again.....and it works.
