This Whirlpool is having intermittant spinning issues on the rinse cycle. Sometimes it spins, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't spin and I reach in and turn the drum once by hand and shut the door quickly that will get it going. Is a part going bad or getting worn out?

Could be the clutch or basket drive block. You need to remove the cover, bypass the lid switch and observe the clutch housing during spin. If the clutch housing is spinning but the basket drive tube is not, the clutch is slipping. If the basket drive tube is spinning but the basket is not, the drive block is bad or the spanner nut may be loose or the end of the drive tube is damaged. Since you can get it spinning, it is more likely to be a slipping clutch.

Eric Thanks for the help...I'll get to this next weekend and report back to see if I can determine what parts to order.
