Bought a new igniter and resolved the problem.
Even if the igniter glows red hot it likely is pulling the proper amount of amps to allow the gas valve to open.
What I did was turn oven on and use a long butane lighter to see if any gas ignited.Little puffs of gas would flare up close to the igniter. Also, the man at the parts store said it was almost always the igniter and not the gas valve.
When installing new igniter be sure to NOT touch the part that gets hot because your skin oils well cause it to fail.
