The washer runs through all cycles fine, once it reaches the end of the spin cycle, it makes a loud knocking noise until the spinning basket comes to a stop. I tried replacing the clutch, still has same problem. When you turn the basket by hand you can feel and hear it hitting somthing. Any help would be welcomed.

You need to check out the brakes and the support springs. Try operating it with the cabinet off by by-passing the lid switch and see you can tell what is happening at the end of the spin cycle.

On the springs, sometimes they can be bad but the damage is not visible and you just need to change them out. However this sounds more like a brake problem, see the Sticky at the top of the main washer page by Richappy.
