Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/22/2009(UTC) Posts: 3		my dryer has been making a loud noise . i took the top off and the felt ring that the drum rides on was laying off to the one side . so by the looks of it , it has been riding on the plastic . how does this felt ring go back on ? is it supposed to be one complete ring or is it split ? thankyou ..

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		I cannot get your model number to come up, but if this is the generic GE (they make Hotpoint) the felt ring goes along the bottom half and loops over in slots about half way up. The top rests on glides.
