Hi everyone,

My Maytag Atlantis toploader is spinning very very slowly and is make a horrific noise while doing so, could it be saved or brought out back and shot?

When this happens it is usually the transmission or tub bearing, but before doing anything take off the front cover and see if anything is caught between the tub and basket. Probably not the problem, but worth checking.

If that is not the problem that taking out and shot thing is probably what you want to do. A new basic top loader can be had for $350.00 or less so replacement is probably the better idea.
