My Dishwasher melted and twisted a couple of objects inside the chamber after the wash cycle was completed, lucky somebody opened the door before a fire started. I am a Electronic tech so i traced the supply voltage back to K3 on the cpu board, the problem i have is i cant get the same problem to happen again due to the fact that the dishwasher was cooled down when i started to toubleshoot the electronics. I de-soldered the K3 relay and connected it directly to the heating element and used a 12dc supply to control the relay itself, i switched it on and off for about 60 minutes and couldnt get the realy normally open to stick shut, that is telling me that the relay may be good but i still didn't simulate the exact sequence as a complete cycle controlled by the cpu. Just wondering if any body heard of this problem before?? Also the element resistance measured 15.7 ohms and the keypad didnt have any shorts. Any help here would be great, i am leaning towards ordering a new cpu board and lower spray arm because the orginal also melted.

Thanks
Chad
