A clamp on amp probe is what needed for a such tests. 3.2 amps reading means the igniter is weak and has to be replaced.

Gene, wanted to give you a follow up and thank you very much for your help. My wife is a HAPPY CAMPER. Orderd the igniter from APP on 9/30 recieved it today just replaced and works just fine. Thanks again.
