Hello, I have a Maytag Gemini Double Oven. The model number is MGR6751BDB. The problem started when the oven would trip the circuit breaker and shut down. First, I replaced the breaker thinking that might be the problem...it wasn't. Next I replaced the circuit board in the oven (part #W10166969). When I installed the board and turned the oven back on, there was a loud pop and smoke rose up. I thought I had fried the board, but when I got into the oven and looked I found that the igniter wires had been pinched between the sheet metal body of the oven and had shorted out (This was the problem all along and the short had apparently been made worse when I changed the board). I replaced the igniter and tried the oven again. Now it stays at 105 degrees and will not light or do anything. I swaped out the circuit board (to the original) and still it is the same as the first board(105 degrees). I then pulled the thermostat and tested it for resistance and it was in spec. I am at a loss for the problem. It's like it's in safety mode or in a locked down state that needs to be reset. Do you know where the problem might lie?

Hi. If the bake ignitor doesn't glow check the gas valve coil. If it's open - replace it Part number: 74011290

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your help. The igniter doesn't glow, but it is not the gas valve coil. So far, it is not the gas valve coil, igniter, thermostat or the circuit board. I seem to be running out of things that it could be, do you have any other ideas?

Hi.
Have you check the voltage output from the control board? Are you getting 120VAC to the safety gas valve?
Simon.
