One of the electric range top burners shorted out and sent sparks flying. Now none of the elec burners work. The Oven heats up but only to 150 degrees. The clock goes on and off when turning the oven on and off.

I check power and everything is still getting power. Volts at least. Not sure about amperage.

Not sure if I should just replace all the burners switches and both the oven switch and thermostat or not.

Looks like when the burner was shorting it could have zapped pretty much everything. Not sure.

Are there any electrical schematics avialable anywhere?

Any advice would be helpful thank you

one of the two fuses in the 220 blew so I was still getting juice but not enough to make anything work.

Thanks for the consideration

Hi.

Unplug the range, disconnect the shorted burner switch (mark the wires) and try if the rest of them working. Make sure there is 240VAC to the range.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric JCS57Y1WW Electric range | AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Simon.
