The washer will complete a cycle after I take it apart then put it back together. The second cycle it hangs up again, usually won't drain, but sometimes just stops. The LID SWITCH tests good, and I have bypassed it altogether. The TIMER IS NEW. I also replaced the rubber bushing and 3-pronged plastic bits. PUMP is new. Can someone please help me figure out why the washer is hanging up? many thanks,

Check the connection at the motor and the wiring to the motor for continuity. That is usually not the problem but it seems like you have eliminated the more likely suspects.

If motor isn't getting hot. It's probably a loose connection esp since it works after you take apart and put together. You are probably shaking something so that is gets a better connection. I would check where you bypassed that switch probably with wire nuts. Be sure they are the right size or they won't allow a proper connection.
