Hello,
Hope you can help me. I have a Maytag CRE8600CCE electric stove/oven.

Electric power had been shut off, and when the power turned back on the control panel is blank totally black.

I have checked and flipped all the breaker switches to on and off back on again, and unplugged the 240v stove cord. Tried hold the cancel button for awhile and still blank.

All 4 electric burners on top work and the light comes on in the oven.

Are there any small transformers that may have blown out when the electric was powered off?

Please may I get the tech sheet or service manual for this Maytag CRE8600CCE stove?

Have read all your stickys about the ohm meter so that will be the next in line that I do. I have an analog meter and will be using it.

It's cold here in Colorado right now and I sure would like to bake a hot meal tonight.

Sounds like the control board (aka a clock) has gone bad. The low voltage transformer is a part of the clock. In order to prevent such situation I would recommend to install a surge protector. It can be a good idea to call a certified electrician to estimate a whole house surge protector installation.
