Hi all...long time lurker, first post. But, I've used numerous posts to fix my appliances. It doesn't take much asymmetric distribution of clothes to get the tub spinning out of balance. Wet Polartec blankets will cause the tub to hit against the cabinet. Like a little man inside pounding with a ball peen hammer! I plan on replacing the snubber and support springs. Does anyone know if I can use Richappy's snubber replacement technique for a Performa on my Atlantis? http://forum.appliancepartspros...snubber-replacement.htmlAlso, I can't determine how many support springs attach from the tub to the cabinet base. Does any one know the required number of springs? I have to remove the dryer from the cubby hole first in order to gain access to the washer for dis-assembly. I'd rather have the parts needed in hand before I remove the washer and dryer from the closet. I'm familiar with the spec drawings, but, they do not state the number of springs installed. I am guessing 6 springs looking at the drawings. Replacement parts for Maytag MAV6257AWW WASHER, ATLANTIS | AppliancePartsPros.comThanks for any info!

Hi.
Yes, you can use the same technique and yes, there are 6 springs.
Simon.
