So I had a problem with this oven in the RV when I bought it. First off the RV is a 1988 and the oven is all gas. When I bought it all the stove top burners worked but the pilot light would light in the oven, but no burner. The pilot would slightly get larger when you turned the oven temp up. I called my local RV Store and they told me the safety valve/switch which had a mercury sensor was the cause. So $174 and I got the new block. This is the block that goes into the oven and has the pilot off of it and the burner slides onto it. I installed it tonight and tested all connections for leaks. Nothing was leaking. So i tested the pilot. Pilot lights. The pilot flame gets much larger when turned up then the old one would. Here is a picture of the old block/switch I replaced. ( http://i200.photobucket....675-000002892782F344.jpg ) That comes off the knob you turn the oven on with. Is this another safety mercury sensor? Also I do notice my burner flames on the stove top do get pretty large. Larger then I remember my familys trailer burners getting. I don't really want to spend another $200 and hunting season is only three weeks away. Hoping someone can give me some advice here. I did save my old part I took off today in case I need to return the new one.
