Recently changed the high limit, regular thermostat, thermal fuse, and the heating element. Worked for a while. Now the adjustable cycling thermostat needs to be changed. Would that have messed up the other parts that I have already replaced if it got to hot? Its an older style whirlpool dryer. Everything is in the back panel.

Hi,

The cycling thermostat ( AP3115922 ) should not effect the other components mentioned.

A model number may help others help you!!

Also I do not know what "regular thermostat" relates to.

Sorry but I have to disagree with Jagsmaned.
A cycling thermostat that is shot can cause the unit to overheat.
The hi-limit then regulates the heat although it is overly hot.
The hi-limit is a safety device and is not designed to cycle forever so eventually it fails.
Then the thermal cut-off which is basically a thermal fuse blows as it is a back up to the hi-limit.
