I placed a small, portable Weber BBQ grill in my dishwasher for quick cleaning. Afterwards there was a lot of debris left in the dishwasher. We ran a cycle with dishes and the debris remained and was covering the dishes. I had to do them by hand.
I was told that there is a filter that needs to be cleaned and that it was under the lower arm. There are 3 star shaped screws to remove the cover, but the arm is in the way. I am wary of breaking the arm.
How do I remove the arm and the filter?

Hi.

To remove the spray arm unscrew the cap and pull out the arm.
To get to the pump filter use the Q/A below.
