My refrigerator/freezer KitchenAid model KBFS22EWMS occasionally leaks water below the front door. Since there is no condensation/moisture around the seal and the leak is periodic (like the defrost cycle), I believe the defrost drain is clogged which is causing water to accumulate and create a frozen layer on bottom of freezer and then leak to the floor in front of the refrigerator. Unfortunately, I am unable to remove the freezer drawers and the interior panel to access the drain and unclog it. I have tried to removing the freezer door but am unable to remove the top sliding wire basket drawer which seems to be locked in place with the drawer slide mechanism. Also, it does not appear that the interior panel of the freezer is removable to gain access to the defrost drain. How do I remove the drawers and the interior freezer panel for KitchenAid model KBFS22EWMS? Thanks!

Use a trombone wire cleaner to snake through the drain line. It has a tiny brush on either end and is rigid enough and long enough to snake the entire line!
