Compressor is not turning on. The fans are running for both sides. Found the metal post between doors is hot to touch.
Does this sound like the running capacitor is burned up, assuming there is one for the compressor.
I would appreciate further advisement

Remove the back panel and put a portable fan in the back to cool the condenser coils and compressor. If temperatures come back to normal, replace the condensing fan motor.
