I thought my baking element went out. Ordered a new one and installed it. Still not working. We put in the old one, it worked for a minute and went cold again. Put in the new one and does not work. Is it electrial? I thought it could be the thermostat knob, but the broiler works. (same knob for oven and broiler) ONLY the baking element does not work. The broiler works, all four burners work. HELP!!! Thank you.

For those of you with this same problem. Check your fuse in the house fuse box. I have the old screw in type fuses for my home. The range fuse has 2 cigar type fuses which are for the 220v line. One was burnt out, the other was still good. Thats why everything worked except for the oven element. The oven element has its own fuse. I replaced it this morning and my oven is now working. A very obvious solution which took my father in law to think of. I am again a very happy baker!:D
