I just purchased a control board from this site and installed it. The lights on the front display still do not come on, but one or two of the buttons seems to work somewhat. I can hear the ?motor? making noise, but nothing actually happens.

Before the new control board nothing worked at all. I would hear a click noise coming from the control panel when the dishwasher was plugged in and then nothing.

One thing I noticed was the ribbon cable leading from the control board to front display had quarter sized brownish stains on the inside of the ribbon cable. I'm not sure if this is affecting it or not.

Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks

Thanks

Please recheck the the model number.
Would the last three digits be 600 instead of 000?
Also what color is the control panel?

I believe it was 600 actually. But I ordered the control board by the part number written on the board itself, which was W10076350 REV A and the part I was sent has the part number W10084141 REV B. Supposedly this is a compatible replacement, something doesn't seem right though.

If by control panel you mean the button interface on the front of the dishwasher the entire piece is white.

thank you Glen

I would have to be able to perform continuity testing on the
keypad to be 100% certain, however based on your description
it looks like the keypad/console is going to need to be replaced.
You spoke of a spot inside the ribbon cable. This very well could
be the cause. They don't actually use wires to make that cable.
The lines (if visible) on the cable are made up of an electrically
conductive coating that serves the same purpose. Sometimes
this line of conductive coating becomes compromised braking
proper connection between the keypad and circuit board, and
the only thing you can do is replace the panel itself. I asked
you the color because there are three different panels listed
for this model. They list the white one as part number 8558209.
They also say that it will be slightly different in appearance
but will function ok.
