I replaced a bake element that had failed. However I was trying to do it on the cheap and replaced it with an element that wasn't exactly the same shape, and I had to drill a couple new holes in the oven wall so that the element terminals would fit. They were about an inch wider than the spacing on the original bake element. When I tested the oven there was no heat, and in fact the broil element quit working at that point. Can I salvage this oven? What happened? Thanks
