Seems like a very common posting but here it goes anyway. Microwave powers on, starts like normal but doesn not heat and has a higher than normal buzzing. I'm guessing like most it's the magnetron or rectifier but would appreciate some additional feedback if possible.

Also, I'm guessing this would require to remove the microwave from the wall. Any tips on that?

The diode is most likely bad causing your noise. On these models if the diode is bad the magnetron tube is almost always bad. Note that a bad capacitor can also cause this but I very rarely see capacitors bad. This page will help GE Spacemaker Microwave Magnetron Tube Replacement
