I purchased a new dishwasher dispenser for my Kitchenaid model KUDI01ILWH6 dishwasher. Replacement of the old one requires the removal of the outer metal door panel. I removed the 6 screws, but the panel will not come off although it is loose along the top and both sides. Is there some trick to removing this panel, like moving left or right or up or down? It seems to be tightly attached to something at the dead center of the panel. I removed the control panel at the top of the door so I could see down behind the lower panel, but I could not see anything obviously holding the lower outer door panel in place.

I already had the installation instructions given by the expert. As it turned out, the block styrofoam insulation was stuck firmly to both the front and inner panels. I had to pull firmly enough to risk bending the front panel and had to use a wide flat metal scraper to get the insulation to begin to release from one side of the inside panel. Once it broke free, installing the dispenser was a cinch.
