I can't set the temperture on my oven and some of the other control panel features don't work either. The clock and self cleaning feature seem to be the only things working.

Hi.

Remove the flex ribbon connector from the control board and clean the edge with isopropyl alcohol and pencil eraser.
Reconnect and check. If that doesn't help, I'm afraid you are out of luck - the touch membrane is no longer available.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric JBP85WB4WW Electric range | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Could this problem be caused by a lightening strike? I just found out that my garage door opener control board was fried and the repairman thought it was because of a strike.

Hi.

It's possible if the problem is with the control board.

Simon.
