During the Drain cycle, the tub occasionally spins. This causes the water to centrifuge over the top and do a fast exit to the floor. While trying to figure out what the heck was happening, I found that I could duplicate what was occasionally happening by opening and closing the lid or pushing in and pulling out the control knob during the drain cycle. I have a feeling that if I knew which part to replace that this could be a relatively inexpensive home repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it is possible water is not draining fast enough. in this model water should drain before spinning,if you have a drain pipe stand next to tub remove drain hose and put in sink ,it should drain fast,if not possibly drain hose is kinked.or drain hose is blocked. or there is pump problem .if this style of washer has black drain hose which is two parts, one part inside of washer at back, attached to second hose coming out back ,it may well be thin part of hose that is blocked, remove hose +check for blockage, you need 2 people to hold at either end to look through in light.if blocked you need long firm rod to push through. or install universal drain hose

When it is supposed to be just draining, occasionally, it also spins. 8 out of 10 times, it works perfectly.
