HELP! Our old Maytag washer sprung a heavy leak and has flooded the second floor of our house. We were running a large load on the "soak" setting and whilst it was soaking, a lot of water just started pouring out of the bottom of the machine.

I've taken the front off and don't see where the leak was coming from. All hoses are attached and seem fine. I'm really afraid to run it again to see where the leak is as it was such a disaster last time. I took off the pump and it seems to be fine (not jammed up or leaking). Could it be the tub seal? Would water leak that badly from it if its gone? Anyone have any advise?

Thanks!

Hi.

Most likely the tub seal is leaking, but you have to run the washer just for a short time to confirm the leaking part.

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.
