Bench tested motor 8534942, put 115 volts to red and blue wires, motor ran consistently backwards.
There are 4 wires, one for ground, red and blue for power and a yellow wire. Have no idea what the yellow wire is for. Tried shorting it to either the red or blue wires, made no difference.
Hope someone has seen this before.

Ok, found problem. The yellow wire is a bias wire that shades the stator field to force the motor to run the right direction. It's blown open.
