My dishwasher keeps tripping the safety wall switch it is connected too. There is an over the sink light and two outlets also on this circuit. I have made sure none of them is in use. An electrician looked it all over and told me it was probably the a bad heating element in the dishwasher. Is this possible or could it be something else. If it is bad, how do I remove and replace the element.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Frigidaire FDB710LCS0 Frigidaire/dishwasher | AppliancePartsPros.comThe heating element is held on with 2 nuts. See section 1 at the bottom of the page as they do not have an item number. Yes it could be other things that are blowing the GFI. The easiest way to check would be to remove power from the unit, then remove one wire at the heating element. If you have to tape it so it cannot short to anything else. Now run a cycle. If the GFI does not pop then probably the heater that is the problem. |
