have continuity everywhere. have the current. have 120 volts at coils. where would the balance of 240 volts come from ? red wire at control knob?

Hi,
A model number maybe helpful.
If the thermal fuse is good and you truly do have 240 volts to the dryer then you may have a bad timer.
