Here are your parts. Replacement parts for Maytag MSD2651HEW REF - SXS/I&W | AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the tech sheet. Your unit is not listed on the tech sheet but I think it is a close match. It sounds like the compressor is running and therefore it should be getting cold. Is the compressor running all the time except during a defrost cycle or is it cycling on/off? Is the evaporator/freezer fan running? It should be on whenever the compressor is running. If the compressor runs continuously and the evaporator fan is running then unplug the unit and remove the cover inside the freezer so you can inspect the evaporator coils. If they they are heavily iced/frosted over then you have a defrost problem. If there is no frost or just frost in one area then it is a sealed system problem (expensive repair). Be sure that the compressor has run for at least a couple hours, if you do this test shortly after a defrost cycle then you could reach the wrong conclusion. |
